The Principality of Lyonesse has three (3) Orders of Knighthood, each having their own traditions, requirements, and honors.  This page will also recognize those Orders of Knighthood within Micronationalism that have been so recognized by the government of Lyonesse.

Order of Lyonesse

The Order of Lyonesse was established by HRH Lothian, Prince of Lyonesse on January 1, 2012, to honor those Lyonian citizens within the Realm, living abroad, and persons of import to the Principality who are not citizens but, have shown great and exceptional service to the Principality of Lyonesse.

There are four levels of service to the Order as listed in descending order:

1. Knights Grand Commander             1 Knight elected by the Knights Commanders

2. Knights Commander                      10 Knights appointed by HRH Lothian I

3. Knights Bachelor                            up to 100 per Commander

4. Companions                                   Unlimited

Order of the Rose

The Order of the Rose was created by HRH Lothian in 2012 to honor men and women of the Realm who given great services to the Royal Family, the Royal Tribes, and the citizenry of Lyonesse.  The Order of the Rose is an Order of Knighthood that does not distinguish any difference between men or women in their ranks, each is a Knight being known not as "Sir" nor "Dame" but as the "Honorable".  Equality within the Realm is very important to HRH Lothian, Prince of Lyonesse, stating many times that it is the "tie that binds us all".

Order of Garde de Lyon (The Red Guard)

The Order of Garde de Lyon, also known as "The Red Guard", is the elite military Order within Lyonesse. It is divided into five (5) Regiments, each with its own Commander. The Order is then commanded by its Knights Grand Commander, who is selected by HRH Lothian, Prince of Lyonesse.

The First Regiment is known as the "Garde le Roy", their one duty is the protection of the Royal Tribes and their combined Families. Many Royal Family members make up this Regiment so, there has never been a sense of any "servitude" toward the Royal Tribes but, rather a sense of duty and Honor instead.

The other four Regiments make up the bulk of Knights within the Order and represent the Military Arm of Lyonesse.
